Council of Catholic Women

The CCW Mission is to unite all the women of Holy Ghost Parish in spiritual, educational and social activities. Holy Ghost CCW has been able to help the church, community and even the world through the work of the women who are active members. The Council promotes true community among the women in the parish with monthly events.  It also plans and executes outreach efforts, serving those in need throughout the local community. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of most months with special events throughout the year. All women in the parish are automatically members of the Council of Catholic Women and are invited to become more involved in this important organization.   You are welcome at any time to attend our meetings and functions. For information contact Mary Beth Kurpiel 630-650-1932.

Respect Life

The Respect Life Ministry, sponsored by the Council of Catholic Women, works to transform our parish into a Culture of Life where every human being is valued and protected from the moment of conception until natural death.  Prayer is encouraged with a November Holy Hour, distribution of prayer cards and pamphlets, and prayers at the Wood Dale abortion clinic, 203 E. Irving Park Road.  Crisis Pregnancy Centers are assisted with a baby bottle coin collection, a CCW baby shower, and donated used baby equipment picked up and delivered by volunteers.  Attendance is encouraged at pro-Life activities in the Diocese educating us on:  Abortion, Post-abortion Healing, Euthanasia, Chastity Education, Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Human Cloning, Capital Punishments, Ethical Vaccines, Fertility Issues and Artificial Contraception.  For more information contact Peg Gisburne 630-595-4302.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a worldwide organization for Catholic men who are building a bridge back to faith. The Wood Dale Knights Council assists at Holy Ghost events and carries out special projects to support the parish. The annual Tootsie Roll Drive raises $5,000 for people with intellectual disabilities. All Catholic men, eighteen years of age and older, are invited to join the Knights of Columbus. For more information contact Robbie Lasica at 630-422-5210, or by email: kofc10325@gmail.com.
